Lymphocytes
Lymphocytes, including B, T, and natural killer cells, are vital to the
body's adaptive immune response. These powerful immune cells
actively migrate to areas of inflammation during both the early
and later stages of the inflammatory process.
An increase in lymphocyte numbers may suggest an overload of
systemic toxins, while a decrease could indicate a higher risk of
infection.
When to run this test:
● To provide a more precise assessment of immune system
function.
● To determine the cause of an elevated or decreased total
white blood cell count, such as bacterial or viral infections
and inflammation.
