MPV (Mean Platelet Volume)
MPV helps evaluate disruptions in platelet production by
measuring their average size. Variations in MPV can provide insight
into platelet function and potential clotting risks.

Mean Corpuscular Volume (MCV)
MCV measures the average size of red blood cells and helps
classify anemia as microcytic (small cells), normocytic
(normal-sized cells), or macrocytic (large cells). When combined
with MCH, it can reveal deficiencies in vitamins B6, B12, or folic
acid. Low MCV may indicate iron deficiency or chronic disease,
while high MCV suggests vitamin B12 or folate deficiency.
A normal MCV with low hemoglobin can point to anemia from
chronic disease or blood loss. Analyzing MCV, MCH, and MCHC
together offers a more complete picture for identifying anemia.
