TPO (thyroid peroxidase) and TgAb (thyroglobulin antibodies)
testing are blood tests used to check for autoimmune thyroid
diseases, such as Hashimoto's thyroiditis and Graves' disease.
These tests help determine if the immune system is mistakenly
attacking the thyroid, which can lead to thyroid dysfunction. TPO
antibodies may be checked in patients with a high TSH, to help
establish the problem. Elevated TPO antibodies are often
associated with autoimmune diseases. >34.0 IU/mL is a positive
test.

Parathyroid hormone (PTH) is a hormone produced by the
parathyroid glands that regulates calcium levels in the blood, as
well as phosphorus and vitamin D levels. It helps maintain proper
functioning of nerves, muscles, and bones by controlling the
release of calcium from bones, absorption in the intestines, and
retention in the kidneys.
