Vitamin B3
This test is used to measure vitamin B3, commonly known as Niacin,
levels to provide a diagnosis for deficiency as well as monitoring a
patient's response to Vitamin B supplements.
The Vitamin B3 test measures the levels of Nicotinamide and
Nicotinic acid, the two main forms of vitamin B3, in the blood.
It can also help assess the nutritional status in individuals with
malabsorption issues, alcohol dependence, or those on restrictive
diets.
When to run this test:
● When a client has symptoms of pellagra (dermatitis, diarrhea,
dementia)
● To check overall nutritional status

Optimal / Functional
2.6-76.8 ng/mL
Vitamin B5
This is a single-marker test measuring Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic
Acid). Vitamin B5 is a crucial component of coenzyme A and
phosphopantetheine, both essential for fatty acid metabolism.
Adequate levels of Vitamin B5 are necessary for optimal energy
production and the synthesis of essential biomolecules. Deficiency
or suboptimal levels may impact metabolic function and overall
energy levels.
When to use this test:
● For individuals with restrictive diets
