Magnesium
Magnesium is a vital mineral that supports over 300 processes in
the body, including energy production, muscle and nerve
function, heart rhythm, and bone health.
Low magnesium levels are more common than many realize and
can contribute to symptoms like fatigue, cramps, anxiety, poor
sleep, migraines, and even heart or blood sugar issues.
RBC magnesium or intracellular testing is preferred over serum
magnesium for a more accurate view of magnesium status, since
less than 1% of magnesium is found in blood serum.
When to use this test:
● To monitor metabolic activity.
● To check renal function.
