Test Methodology and Interpretation
Sample Collection and Processing
The Array 12 test requires a blood sample collected by a
phlebotomist using tubes supplied in the Cyrex collection kit. The
sample is then shipped to Cyrex Laboratories for analysis [14].
Laboratory Analysis
The laboratory measures IgG antibodies against the 32 different
pathogens included in the panel. The presence of elevated
antibodies suggests prior or current exposure and immune
reactivity to these pathogens [15].
Result Interpretation
Results are typically reported as:
● Negative (within reference range)
● Equivocal (borderline elevated)
● Positive (above reference range)
Positive results indicate immune reactivity to specific pathogens
that may be contributing to autoimmune processes through
cross-reactivity and molecular mimicry [16].
Test Accuracy and Validation
The Cyrex Array 12 has undergone multiple validation studies to
ensure analytical accuracy and clinical utility. Validation data
shows the test has high specificity for the target pathogens with
minimal cross-reactivity between individual pathogens on the
panel [17].
According to published validation studies, the Array 12
demonstrates:
● Intra-assay precision: >90% reproducibility
