Toxicology Screenings
Identifies environmental exposures that may damage the BBB
[145, 146]
Microbiome Analysis
Characterizes gut dysbiosis patterns associated with
neuroinflammation and BBB dysfunction [147, 148]
Autonomic Function Testing
Assesses neurovascular regulation that may reflect BBB-related
pathology [149, 150]
This integrated testing approach provides a comprehensive
assessment of the interconnected systems influencing brain
health, enabling more precise and effective intervention
strategies [151, 152].
Case Studies: Array 20 in Clinical Practice
Case 1: Post-Concussion Syndrome with Persistent Symptoms
A 28-year-old athlete with persistent cognitive symptoms following
multiple concussions showed elevated IgM and IgG antibodies to
S100B and Claudin-5 on Array 20, indicating both acute and
developing chronic BBB dysfunction. Additional testing revealed
intestinal permeability on Array 2 and food reactivity on Array 10.
An intensive protocol including omega-3 fatty acids,
phosphatidylserine, and targeted anti-inflammatory nutrients
combined with elimination of reactive foods and gut repair led to
significant symptom improvement within 3 months.
Follow-up testing showed normalization of IgM antibodies and
substantial reduction in IgG levels to BBB proteins, confirming
objective improvement in BBB integrity alongside symptom
resolution [153, 154].
